My name is Shelby Gibson. This will be my 11th year as a Reading Specialist at Park Meadows, and my 25th year teaching altogether. I've had the privilege of teaching kindergarten for ten years, as well as 2nd and 3rd prior. I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in early childhood. I have my Masters in Elementary Education with a Reading Specialist endorsement from Northern Arizona University. I also received my Gifted endorsement in 2012.
I live at home with my husband Chuck, my 17 year old son Jaxen. We love doing things together as a family. The majority of our time is spent traveling and cheering on our son in BMX racing at a national level! He was able to represent Team USA last two years at the World Championship UCI race we had the opportunity to travel to Denmark!! We love to travel, camp, ride our dirt bikes and go on RZR rides up North at our cabin. In my free time, I love to paddle board and kayak, play board games and watch movies and of course I LOVE to read - it is my escape to relax.
