Second-graders learn to read independently. They will learn to identify cause and effect in fiction and non-fiction books. They will learn numbers in the 1,000s and add and subtract two-digit numbers.

Help your child develop a passion for books by visiting the library to pick out favorite titles. Reinforce math lessons by having kids list items seen in grocery ads from the most to least expensive.
