Mrs. Amy Vlasity

My name is Amy Vlasity, and I have the honor of serving as the Dean of Students at Park Meadows Elementary School. With extensive teaching experience across kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades, as well as a year of art instruction, I bring a well-rounded perspective to my role. I also spent three years as the Instructional Coach at Desert Sky Middle School, and I have effectively led the student bodies at Arrowhead Elementary and Greenbrier Elementary for three years as their Dean of Students.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Early Childhood from ASU West, where I was selected as one of only thirteen students for a Student Exchange Program with the University of Brighton. This opportunity allowed me to teach for 14 weeks in Burgess Hill, UK, at St. Wilfrid's Catholic School, where I worked with Year 4/5 students (equivalent to 3rd and 4th grades). This experience deepened my commitment to education and enriched my teaching skills, inspiring me to continually seek excellence in the classroom.
I hold a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from NAU, achieved in 2006, and I also possess an Early Childhood Endorsement alongside a Reading Specialist Endorsement on my teaching certificate. My dedication to educational leadership led me to complete my second Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from NAU in December 2018, equipping me to guide students and staff effectively.
When I'm not dedicated to my work, I cherish time with my husband and our three children: Olivia and her husband Aaron, William, and Adam. Our family enjoys traveling, engaging in enjoyable activities, and making lasting memories at the beach and our cabin. I am passionate about creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for all students to thrive, and I look forward to making a positive impact at Park Meadows
